The Arkansas Department of Education recognized Wynne Schools Superintendent Dr. Kenneth Moore and the district’s consultant Dr. C.J. Huff before kick-off last night. ADE Secretary Jacob Oliva and Deputy Commissioner Stacy Smith presented the awards.

Dr. Moore received a capitol citation for his leadership and commitment to the recovery efforts of the Wynne School District following the March 31 tornado. The capitol citation is an honor given exclusively to Arkansans who have significantly contributed to the state and its communities.

Dr. Huff received the Arkansas Traveler certificate for his contributions to the recovery efforts. The Arkansas Traveler certificate is a special recognition the state bestows upon out-of-state visitors who have made significant contributions to the state’s progress, enjoyment, or well-being.
