BATESVILLE, Ark. — Two Batesville High School students were killed in a crash shortly before 5 p.m. Monday in Batesville.
Arkansas State Police said a car traveling east on State Highway 394 left the roadway, struck two driveway entrances and overturned.
The driver and another passenger, both minors, were taken to Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock.
The Batesville School District confirmed that the two students who died and one of the injured students attended Batesville High School.
The Cave City School District said one of its high school seniors was critically injured in the crash.
Both school districts have released statements expressing sympathy for the students’ families and offering support to their school communities.
