WYNNE — The Wynne School District will be celebrating the rebuild of Wynne High School with a topping off ceremony today.
That’s the placement of the final metal beam in the rebuild of the school, which was destroyed by a tornado on March 31, 2023.
The ceremony begins at 6 p.m.
The beam is currently available for the public to sign before it is put in place after the topping off ceremony. It’s located in the back corner of the new high school parking lot.
The district erected a temporary campus less than a mile north of the former school. The goal is to have the new school ready for the 2027-28 school year.
