WYNNE — Olivia Wooten has been selected as the Wynne May Ag Student of the Month. Wooten, 14, was chosen by Hillmon Davis, Wynne High School agricultural educator/FFA, science and drones teacher.
Wooten is in ninth grade and is in her first year of FFA. Her mother is Ann Wooten. Her FFA involvement includes animal science.
As part of the SPARC club, Wooten helped teach intermediate students about goats and presented a goat to the class for a more hands-on experience. She is on the CDE horticulture team, which placed 17th in the state during a recent competition.
During Wooten’s SAE (Supervised Agriculture Experience), she discussed food preparation and healthy eating. She also monitored her health statistics, weight, and blood pressure.
Wooten is an All-A honor roll student, and in her spare time, she likes to work puzzles and read. Her community service included tornado clean-up. She enjoys drama and band. She plays the flute but would like to learn the saxophone as well. She sings at church in Earle where she attends with her grandmother.
The Cross County Farm Bureau Women’s Committee presented Wooten with a certificate, a T-shirt, and a cup for her accomplishment.
