Patricia Sue ‘Pat’ Whitaker, 85, of Forrest City, died Friday, Feb. 23, 2024, at St. Francis Assisted Living in Forrest City.
Pat was born on Jan. 9, 1939, in Lake Village, Ark., and grew up in McGehee, Ark. In 1981 she moved to Forrest City to become the manager of Forrest City Abstract Company. She retired from there at the end of 2022. She was passionate about her work and all the people she worked with.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Tommy Waddell and Beulah Reynolds Waddell; and her son-in-law, Mike Doherty. She is survived by her son, Mike Suitt, and wife, Lynn, of Jonesboro; a daughter, Sandra Doherty of Forrest City; three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Pat was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Forrest City. The family would like to thank the staff of St. Francis Assisted Living for their compassion and care for Mrs. Pat this past year.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with Stevens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
