Barry Allen Hoots, 68, of Colt, died Monday, Oct. 19, 2026, at his home in Colt. He had been in poor health for the past several years.
Mr. Hoots was born May 7, 1958, in Forrest City, and was the son of Richard Larry Hoots and Shirley Mae Busby Hoots. He lived in St. Francis County most all of his life, was a truck driver and a past employee of the railroad. He was a Baptist.
Mr. Hoots is survived by two daughters, Crystal Marie Hoots of Forrest City, and Kimberly Nicole Alderson, and husband, Chris, of Lonoke; one son, Samuel Allen Hoots, and wife, Christy, of Colt; one brother, Gary Hoots, of Colt; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother, Ricky Hoots.
Services will be held at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 23, 2026, with burial in Forrest Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, Oct. 22, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home, with Stevens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. You may log on to stevensfuneralhome.net for the online registry.
