WYNNE — The Wynne Rotary Club will hold a chili cookoff next Friday, Oct. 30. It will be held at the Wynne Church of Christ.
“It’s $25 to enter the cookoff part. We’re going to have three judges. You can enter your chili and hopefully you make enough pots to sell some too. We’re going to eat, judge and be merry,” said Jeremy Bailey, past president of the Wynne Rotary Club. “If you want to come up and eat, you can pay $10 for a Frito pie of any chili you would like or just $5 for a plain bowl of chili.
“Just bring $5, get you a little bowl and you can sit down and eat with us or you can go on to the game next door,” he added. “We’ll be at the Church of Christ on Oct. 30. It will start at 5:30 p.m. We’ll get there at 5:30 p.m. We’ll start eating around 6 p.m.”
Chili entries must be checked in by 5:30 p.m. next Friday, with judging starting at 6 p.m.
All chili must be cooked off-site.
Once the winners are announced, the chili will be available to the public.
Bowls of chili will be $5 and Frito pies will be $10. Desserts will also be available.
