CHERRY VALLEY — The Cross County Lady Thunderbirds basketball program is putting the spotlight on players and teams of the past. The program has started an alumni spotlight series on its Facebook page.
Cross County Lady T-Birds coach Kyle James said the goal is to put a spotlight on players who have meant a lot to the school over the years.
James said he currently has statistics from 2008 to the present and is working to get the stats from previous years as well.
The 2007-2008 team is the first team under the spotlight. That team was led by Candace Huey, Courtney Lindsey, and Morgan Cook.
Huey scored the most points in a game (16) and tied with Cook for most three-pointers made in a game (3).
Cook made the most three-pointers that season with 13, followed by Huey with 11 and Lindsey with eight. Lindsey had the most free throw makes in a game (5).
