WYNNE — Sherry Breckenridge, parent coordinator for the Wynne School District, is encouraging volunteers to take part in activities with students during the upcoming school year.
Breckenridge will host a volunteer orientation next week for those interested in volunteering in the district.
“I always do a district-wide volunteer orientation for anybody that’s going to be volunteering or working in the schools,” Breckenridge said. “That’s open to all parents K-12 to come out.”
The volunteer orientation will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 20, at Wynne Primary School.
Tomorrow is not only the first day of school; it is also a big day for the Class of 2027. They will begin the day with a Senior Sunrise and end the day with senior orientation.
“It’s kind of what kicks off the year with the seniors to start finding out what all their responsibilities are and what they need to do to start down that road toward graduation next May,” Breckenridge said.
The senior orientation will be held at 6 p.m. on the temporary high school campus.
