WYNNE — The Wynne Police Department remained busy despite the holiday weekend.
The department said officers conducted a traffic stop on Jarod McCammon, 48, shortly before 11 p.m. Monday night. McCammon is currently on parole for other violations.
During a search of McCammon’s vehicle, officers reportedly found an amount of methamphetamine and a device used to smoke methamphetamine. He is being held in the Cross County Detention Center on charges including possession of methamphetamine, tampering with physical evidence, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
On Friday, officers arrested Wendy Stroud, 50, and Stephen Hudson, 54, while attempting to take Stroud into custody on felony warrants from the Cross County Sheriff’s Office. It was determined that Stroud was being harbored by Hudson. She was subsequently arrested. Hudson reportedly fought with officers when they also attempted to take him into custody. Four officers were injured at the scene. Hudson was charged with second-degree battery on a law enforcement officer, hindering apprehension, obstructing governmental operations, and resisting arrest.
In a separate incident on May 18, Wynne police arrested Nataline Irvin, 58, for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Officers were called to the 800 block of Childress Drive where they reportedly found methamphetamine and a pipe commonly used to smoke methamphetamine.
