WYNNE — Jason Curry spoke before a packed house Thursday night as the Wynne football season kicked off with the Wynne Fumble Club’s preseason banquet.
Next up for Wynne is a junior and senior high scrimmage at Osceola Tuesday.
The junior high scrimmage will begin at 5:30 p.m., with the senior high scrimmage set to begin at 7 p.m.
The Jackets’ season opener is Friday, Aug. 28, at home against Marion.
Cross County will also be involved in an Arkansas Activities Association scrimmage Tuesday. The T-Birds host Katon Hill and Blytheville. The Cross County season opener will also be Friday, Aug. 28, at home against Harrisburg.
Other season openers are Aug. 27 at Marion for the Junior Jackets and Aug. 27 at Harrisburg for the Junior T-Birds. The Wynne JV senior season begins Aug. 24 against Jonesboro. The 8th grade team will also play at Marion Aug. 27, and the 7th grade team will open Aug. 31 at Marion.
