Wynne Economic Development has hired a new CEO. Cross County native Bevin Hunter will come on board as WEDC CEO next week.

Hunter, a Cross County High School graduate, previously served as Senior Adviser and Chief Administrative Officer for the Delta Regional Authority. Since 2017, Hunter has served as Director of Economic Development for The Lawrence Group for the Town of Wilson. The town, which has a population of just 747 people, has become a tourist attraction in Eastern Arkansas.

Hunter replaces Cody Slater, who became Vice President of the Jonesboro Regional Chamber of Commerce last November.
