Wynne couple honored with Perseverance Award for dedication to foster parenting despite tornado damage

WYNNE — A Wynne couple has been recognized by the Arkansas Division of Children and Family Services for their service as foster parents.

Blake and Bryanna Irvin are the inaugural recipients of the Division’s Perseverance Award. The Division created the award to honor the Irvins, whose home was among those damaged or destroyed in the March 31, 2023, tornado.

Blake is an Arkansas State Trooper, and Bryanna is a qualified behavioral health provider trainer for a local counseling service.

Despite the damage to their home, the Irvins continued to serve as foster parents, leaning on Connected Foster Care and Adoptions, as well as their extended families for support.
