WYNNE — Wynne Junior High School EAST is seeking donations through Donors Choose to purchase a new laptop computer for livestreaming and video production.
The EAST program began live-streaming games for the Wynne Stingers on Saturday and encountered several technical issues.
According to the Donors Choose site, video editing, livestreaming, graphic design, motion graphics, and other technology-based projects require significantly more processing power than the current equipment can provide, and software updates are increasingly incompatible with the program’s existing laptop.
The program said the laptop would be a shared production workstation for students to produce the school news program, edit high-quality video, create promotional media for community partners, operate livestreams for school events, and develop professional digital projects.
Donations can be made online through Donors Choose.
