VILLAGE CREEK — Village Creek State Park will be hosting several free community events this weekend.
The first is a Mammals of Village Creek program set for 4 p.m. Friday at the amphitheater.
Saturday begins with a Big Ben trail guided hike at 9 a.m. starting outside the visitor center. This is a half-mile hike on the Big Ben Trail. Wear sturdy shoes, insect repellent and bring drinking water. Finally, a Checkpoint Challenge will be held at 2 p.m. at the Lake Austell playground area.
