FORREST CITY — The University of Arkansas-East Arkansas Community College is gearing up for the start of its performance season with a volunteer training.
The training will be held next Tuesday, Sept. 1, at the UA-EACC Fine Arts Center, beginning at 5:30 p.m.
“You can sign up for different areas to work. You can take tickets. We may need help selling water and different areas,” said Niki Jones, manager of the Fine Arts Center. “We’re always looking for new volunteers. They give so much of their time. I really will say it’s a great group and we have a good time.
“We just kind of go over some basic rules for the Fine Arts Center,” Jones said of the training. “We have a quick training and we get to visit.”
The first performance is set for Saturday, Oct. 3, with Foreigner. Other shows include Lorrie Morgan on Saturday, Nov. 7; Shenandoah on Saturday, Jan. 23; Chicago on Friday, April 2; and Yacht Rock the Dock with Ambrosia, Elliot Lurie, John Ford Coley, and Walter Egan on Saturday, May 1.
Tickets are $59 and are available online at UAEACC.edu, by calling 870-633-4480, ext. 352, or in person at the Fine Arts Center Ticket Office. Season subscription packages are available and save 20%.
The UA-EACC Fine Arts Center is located at 1700 Newcastle Road in Forrest City, just off Interstate 40.
