WYNNE — Space is extremely limited for the Cross County Chamber of Commerce’s annual Fall Classic golf tournament.
The tournament will be held Friday, Oct. 2, at The Ridges of Village Creek, which is also Wynne High School’s homecoming.
Lexie Gahr of the Cross County Chamber said there is only enough room for two teams left in the tournament. She said the tournament will max out at 22 teams.
There are currently 20 teams signed up.
Gahr said she has received interest in the tournament from as far away as Phillips County.
Gahr said entries are needed for the annual “Paint the Town Blue and Gold” and “Paint the Town Blue and Silver” for homecoming at Wynne and Cross County high schools.
Judging for “Paint the Town Blue and Gold” will take place Thursday, Oct. 1, one day before Wynne High School’s homecoming.
Gahr said the judging has been moved up a day to allow businesses to participate in homecoming activities that Friday.
“Paint the Town Blue and Silver” will be held Thursday, Oct. 22. Cross County’s homecoming is that Friday, Oct. 23.
Entries will be judged on the exterior of the building. Registration can be completed online.
