TRUMANN, Ark. — The city of Trumann has set a groundbreaking ceremony for its new water treatment facility and tank project.
It will be held next Monday, Aug. 24, starting at 11 a.m., at the end of Delta Street.
The city received a $2 million Economic Development Administration grant in 2024 for the project. The city also received a $5.3 million forgivable loan from the Arkansas Natural Resources Commission in December for a new filtration system associated with the clear-water tank.
The city said the goal of the project is to support existing residents and businesses and provide capacity for future industrial growth.
