WYNNE — The second night of the Three County Fair Rodeo is tonight at the Wynne Saddle Club Arena at the Wynne Sports Complex.
The rodeo features participants from across the country, including PCA Rodeo Hall of Fame rodeo clown Reggie Purvis, who hails from Independence, Louisiana, near Baton Rouge.
“Last night, they had cowboys from Georgia, Oklahoma. They’re here from all over,” Purvis said. “It’s sanctioned by the IPRA, ARA. I think there’s three associations.”
Events begin with sheep and steer riding at 6 p.m., with the rodeo itself starting at 7 p.m.
The rodeo will include bareback broncs, saddle broncs, ranch broncs, tie-down roping, breakaway roping, team roping, steer wrestling, barrel racing and bull riding. There is $5,000 in added money. Knife sheaths will be presented to all first-place winners.
Admission is $8 for adults, $5 for children ages 6 to 12 with ages 5 and under free.
