ST. FRANCIS COUNTY, Ark. — A St. Francis County man has pleaded guilty to a 2022 triple murder.
Jonathan Rolfe was sentenced to 40 years in prison during court proceedings last week.
Rolfe was 17 years old when he was accused of killing three family members in November 2022. He had been charged with three counts of capital murder and theft of property in the case.
Rolfe entered a negotiated guilty plea Thursday to three counts of first-degree murder.
Rolfe received three sentences of 40 years in the Arkansas Department of Corrections to run concurrently. He received just over 1,300 days of time served, and the theft charge was dismissed.
Because Rolfe was a minor at the time of the murders, he could become eligible for parole after serving the period required under Arkansas law for juvenile homicide offenders. However, his release is not guaranteed.
