JONESBORO, Ark. — SANY Nutrition Group has established a new food manufacturing facility in Jonesboro. The company is investing more than $30 million with plans to create over 150 new jobs in three years.
“SANY Nutrition Group is an innovative protein snack manufacturing company that combines the speed and fearless mindset of a start-up with the technology, expertise, and scale of a global organization. Through tailor-made formulation, premium ingredients, state-of-the-art equipment, and European-American process excellence, we transform bold ideas into distinctive, shelf-ready products—in weeks, not years. We chose Jonesboro, Arkansas, for its business-friendly climate, dependable supply-chain infrastructure, and skilled workforce—an ideal combination for fast-moving food manufacturing,” said Angela Pernsteiner, investor.
“Some of the world’s largest food manufacturers do business in Arkansas, and we are excited SANY Nutrition Group is joining their ranks,” said Governor Sanders. “Arkansas has one of the most pro-business environments in the nation. Between our low cost-of-living, short permitting time, skilled workforce, and strong agriculture industry, it’s no surprise the team at SANY picked the Natural State to manufacture their innovative and nutritious snacks.”
SANY Nutrition Group has acquired and remodeled the former Butterball facility, located at 9401 E. Highland Drive in Jonesboro. Operations at the facility have already begun and we are very happy to have a protein manufacturer in our state, where food manufacturing plays a big role for the economy and the American food supply chain network.
SANY Nutrition Group is built on six different pillars, allowing a wide variety of healthy, protein-rich snacks and indulgent bites to be manufactured locally. The company offers both branded and private label selections in every pillar, which creates a meaningful diversification and economic stability.
“SANY Nutrition Group is choosing to invest its capital to grow in Jonesboro, Arkansas, building a new manufacturing facility and creating 150 new jobs,” said Clint O’Neal, executive director of the Arkansas Economic Development Commission. “Jonesboro has become a food manufacturing hub thanks to its abundant natural resources, low costs, and the strategic vision of its leadership. This has led to investments from companies like SANY and positioned Jonesboro for long-term economic growth. We congratulate SANY and the City of Jonesboro on this significant new investment that will create opportunities for many years to come.”
“We continue to find meaningful partnerships with industries in and around food and advanced manufacturing,” said Jonesboro Unlimited President and CEO Mark Young. “Jonesboro is the right place to be successful, and we are thrilled that SANY NUTRITION GROUP has chosen to call us home.”
“SANY Nutrition Group’s investment in our community creates even more opportunity for people to build a life and career in Northeast Arkansas,” said Jonesboro Mayor Harold Copenhaver. “While we work every day to help those that are here, we are always excited when we can add high-quality jobs for the citizens of Jonesboro through a new corporate partner.”
“The Craighead Technology Park is a long-standing asset for our region,” said Craighead County Judge Marvin Day. “We will continue to support the jobs and investments taking place there in a way that helps all of us. SANY Nutrition Group is a welcome addition to Craighead County, and we look forward to their success here.”
