Former Cedar Ridge standout Austin Reaves intends to sign a four-year, $185 million contract extension with the Los Angeles Lakers.
Reaves, a native of Newark, has spent his entire career with the Lakers. He averaged 23 points, five assists and four rebounds last season.
The extension cannot be signed until July 6, when the NBA’s new league year begins. The league year begins July 1, with July 6 marking the first day teams can officially sign players, complete extensions and finalize trades.
