WYNNE — The June meeting of the Cross County Quorum Court could be the last at its regular date and time.
The Cross County Quorum Court is considering moving its meetings away from the third Monday of each month.
Justice of the Peace Glenda Vance made the suggestion during the court’s May meeting to move the monthly meetings away from the third Monday. That is also the traditional meeting day for both the Wynne School Board and the Cross County School Board.
Vance, who is retired from the Wynne School District, said she would like to be able to attend more Wynne School Board meetings in the future. However, she cannot as long as she is serving on the quorum court.
Justices will discuss a potential new meeting day during their June meeting, which is set for 6 p.m. two weeks from today on Monday, June 15, at the Cross County Courthouse.
