Obituary: William “Louis” Littlejohn of Forrest City

William “Louis” Littlejohn, 80, a longtime resident of Forrest City, departed this life, Friday, Sept. 18, 2026, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born Oct. 17, 1945, in Parkin, the son of James William and Nettie Littlejohn. He married Miss Linda Faye Weeks on Oct. 24, 1965.

Louis graduated from Parkin High School in 1964 and continued his farming career. After marrying Linda, he farmed independently, completed his final harvest this year, and operated a grain-hauling company. A member of the Baptist faith, he attended Parkin Baptist Church before moving to Forrest City. Louis enjoyed a good joke, driving the back roads, attending auctions, dining at good restaurants, and listening to country music. He stayed busy and lived a full life, treasuring time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Nettie Littlejohn; two brothers, Dave Littlejohn and Kenneth Littlejohn; one sister, Polly Littlejohn Jenkins; and a son-in-law, Jed Daniels.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Linda Littlejohn of Forrest City; three daughters, Susan Caudell of Alligator, Mississippi, Mona Daniels of Friar’s Point, Mississippi, and Marybeth Hall and her husband, Rodger, of Marion; five grandchildren, Franie Caudell, Lynlie Caudell Bryant, Ellie Caudell, Melinda Daniels (Taylor) Eskridge and Gladys Daniel (Donovan) Soldevila; three great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at Parkin Archeological Park Building from 2-6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 27.
