Virginia Reeves Caudle, of McCrory, Arkansas, departed this life on Feb. 5, 2024. She was born on May 20, 1934, to Elmo and Minnie (Davis) Reeves. Ms. Virginia was 89 years of age. She was a member of the McCrory Church of the Nazarene. Ms. Virginia loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She loved working in her flowerbeds and keeping up with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Ms. Virginia is preceded in death by her parents; a great-granddaughter, Eden Faith Goings; a son-in-law, Danny Baty; five brothers, Homer, Gerald, Billy “Bud,” Johnny, and Jerry Reeves; two brothers-in-law, Deloss Slocum and Alvis Stoner; and a sister-in-law, Frances Reeves.
She is survived by two daughters, Cindy Baty of Dresden, Tenn., and Rita Long of McCrory; three grandchildren, Felicia Baty Goings (Joe) of Sulphur Rock, Julie Baty Higginbotham (Jon) of McCrory, and Jordan Long of McCrory; four great-grandchildren, Joseph Dan Goings of Tulsa, Okla., Jacob Collier Goings of Sulphur Rock, Bethany Grace Goings of Sulphur Rock, and Rhett Higginbotham of McCrory; eight siblings, Betty Slocum of Amarillo, Texas, Shirley Stoner of McCrory, James Reeves (Zee) of McCrory, Mary Graves (Rufus) of Conway, Joyce Brown (Doc) of Augusta, Charles Reeves (Joyce) of McCrory, Linda Breckenridge (James) of McCrory, and Roger Reeves (Kim) of McCrory; a sister-in-law, Sue Reeves of Cotton Plant; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Ms. Virginia is also survived by Amanda Powell Taylor of Augusta who she considered a granddaughter.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 9, 2024, at the McCrory Church of the Nazarene with Bro. Ferrell Wiggins officiating. Interment will follow in Woodman Cemetery near McCrory.
Friends may visit at the Thompson-Wilson McCrory Funeral Home from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 8, 2024.
