Mr. Thomas Joe “Bub” Watlington, 77, of Colt, Ark., died on Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2024, at home.
Thomas Joe was born on Jan. 13, 1947, to the late Robert and Ethel Luker Watlington. Thomas was a graduate of Wynne High School. He worked at Halstead Industries for more than 30 years. He loved his family.
Survivors are his sons, Thomas Joe Watlington, Jr. and wife, Tammy, of Forrest City, Eugene Marshall Watlington and wife, Amy, of Colt; brother, Dallas Watlington of Colt; grandchildren, Ashley, Kayla, Bethany, Kaitlin, Maggie, Baylea, Brianna, Jesse, Morgan, and Hannah; and 12 great-grandchildren with one on the way.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Ethel Watlington; brothers, Curtis, Eugene, Floyd, Claude, Herbert, Leon, Herman, and Rufus; sisters, Louise, Lorrie, Mary, Beulah, Irene, Mattie, Annette, Helen, and an infant sister.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9, 2024, at Smith Chapel Cemetery with Rev. J. T. Baskins and Jerry Watlington officiating.
