Steve Vernon Poland, 75, of Forrest City, died Monday, Feb. 19, 2024, at his home in Forrest City. He had been in poor health for the past several months.
Mr. Poland was born June 15, 1948, in Forrest City, and was the son of Clyde Poland and Emma Jean Reynoles Poland. He was a motorcycle mechanic and attended the First Baptist Church of Madison.
Mr. Poland married Charlotte Joann Poland in 1972, and she preceded him in death in 2009. He is survived by one sister, Brenda Keller of Memphis; one stepson, James Fussell of Jonesboro; one stepdaughter, Kandie Morison of Jonesboro. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Steve W. Poland; and one stepdaughter, Kathie Glatley.
Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 22, 2024, at the Hughes Cemetery. Stevens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. You may log on to stevensfuneralhome.net for the online registry.
