Mr. Raymond L. Seaton, a resident of Augusta, Arkansas, departed this life Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2026, at his home at the age of 63. He was born in Osceola, Arkansas, on Oct. 7, 1962.
Raymond worked for many years as a farm hand, a maintenance technician at Sloan Valve, and a forklift operator at Shearer’s. He earned an associate’s degree from Arkansas State University-Beebe. In his free time, Raymond enjoyed fishing, frog gigging, and playing cards and other games. He especially loved spending time with his family and caring for others.
Raymond was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Seaton; his mother, Darlene (Jones) Sharits; and two brothers, Larry Seaton and Kevin Seaton.
He is survived by his companion of more than 15 years, Christy Archer of Augusta; two sons, Joseph Seaton of Augusta and Roderick “Daniel” Seaton and wife, Lydia, of Augusta; his daughter, Latasha Ludlow and husband, Chad, of Augusta; two brothers, Brian Seaton and wife, Kitty, of McCrory, and Kyle Seaton of Augusta; his sister, Teresa Jones (Kalani Cooper) of Savannah, Tennessee; two grandchildren, Cheyenne Ludlow and Skylar Ludlow; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, 2026, in the Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in McCrory with Bro. Jim Ingram officiating. Interment will follow in Woodman Cemetery near McCrory.
Friends may visit at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until service time.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Chad Ludlow, Cecil Chandler, Joey Seaton, Joseph Seaton, Kyle Seaton, and Allen Smith. Honorary pallbearers are Chris Allen, Che Santos, Daniel Seaton, and Brenton “Buddy” Pasley.
