Mr. Jerry Wayne Seabaugh, of Wynne, departed this life on Sunday, Feb. 18, 2024, at CrossRidge Community Hospital in Wynne at the age of 68. Jerry was born in Wynne on June 26, 1955, the son of Henry Fulton and Mable Lucille (Waters-Kelly) Seabaugh.
Jerry was raised near Tilton and Hickory Ridge and attended Cross County Schools through his sophomore year. He completed high school at Wynne High School, graduating in 1973, and furthered his education at the University of Arkansas at Monticello and East Arkansas Community College. Jerry and the former Inez Hollaway were united in marriage on May 12, 1979. During his working years, Jerry worked in maintenance at Halstead, various construction jobs that led him to many lifelong friends and finished his career at Parkin Archaeological State Park where he had the privilege to mentor local youth that needed a positive role model. Jerry had a passion for helping others and building things. He enjoyed looking back on the homes he helped build and visiting with the youth he worked with at the park. Jerry spent some time volunteering for the local Habitat for Humanity. Jerry was an active member of Hello Church, and in his younger years was a youth leader at Valley View Baptist Church. He had an immense appreciation of God’s work and spent much of his free time in God’s creation. Jerry had a passion for forestry. He enjoyed hunting with his buddies, fishing, working in the yard and garden, and tending to his animals, especially his puppies. He was a jack of all trades, skilled in woodworking and welding, and he liked drawing, studying history, reading, watching westerns, and, most recently, watching and making TikTok videos. He loved to play jokes and make others laugh. Notably, Jerry loved pickles, and he made the best pickles from start to finish with cucumbers from his own garden. Clearly, Jerry had an abundance of enjoyments in life, but above all, he cherished time spent with his loving family.
Mr. Seabaugh was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, James Seabaugh; a sister, Loretta “Sue” Webster; and a stepbrother, Gary Poindexter.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Inez Seabaugh of the home; three daughters, Jennifer Marie Hollaway and partner, Melanie Hulsey, Kimberly Sue Thomas and husband, Brandon, and Lori Beth Miller and husband, Heath, all of Wynne; two grandchildren, Bralyn Lee and Adalyn Claire Thomas; a half-sister, Amanda Carter and husband, Scott; a stepsister, Kathy Frames and husband, Joey; a multitude of nieces, nephews, and extended family; and a lifetime of great friends.
