Janice Renee Spencer, 68, passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2026, in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
Born on Jan. 27, 1958, in Wynne, Arkansas, Janice was the daughter of Charles Spencer and Mary Katherine “Kitty” Spencer. She was a dedicated grocery store employee and a faithful member of the Church of God.
Janice found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved cooking for family and friends and had a special gift for writing poetry, expressing her thoughts and feelings through the written word. She will be remembered for her kind heart, her creativity, and the love she shared with those around her.
Janice is survived by her children, Derik Boren of Memphis, Felicia Hill of Paragould, and Lindsey Spencer of Memphis; twin sisters, Terry Spencer Griffin and Sherry Watlington; and her grandchildren, Tyler Boren and wife Shyann, Devin Boren, Reynia Hill, Dashanti Thomas, Dasia Thomas, and Darrell Thomas. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, Alana Boren, Sklynn Boren, Tyler Boren, Jr., Kyson Boren, Ari Lockett.
Her memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
The family will hold a memorial service at a later time for Janice.
