CHERRY VALLEY — The Delta Ridge 4-H Club of Cross County welcomed James Cunningham of the Northeast Arkansas Rabbit Breeders Association during its meeting last week.
Cunningham discussed the housing, nutrition, and care needed for rabbits, and how to enter rabbits in county, district, and state fairs.
The members invited clubs in Cross County and the surrounding areas to join them. More than 30 attendees left with new knowledge about the versatile livestock animal.
The Cross County Farm Bureau Women’s Committee provided hot dogs and fixings after the meeting. Kent Witcher manned the grill and made room in the Witcher farms shop for the event.
The Delta Ridge 4-H Club is based in Cherry Valley and will meet again in June with a workshop on medium-sized animal showmanship. Any interested youth ages 5 to 19 are invited to attend.
