WYNNE — The Wynne School District is nearing completion on one part of the rebuild of Wynne High School – the new tennis courts.
While the nearby Yellowjacket Stadium will remain unfinished for another year, the finishing touches are now being made to the new tennis courts, which are located across Lemons Street from the football field.
The new tennis complex, which includes four courts, will allow Wynne High School to host several home matches during the 2026 season.
They will be held on Monday, Aug. 17, against Batesville Southside, on Thursday, Aug. 20, against Harrisburg, and on Tuesday, Aug. 25, against Jonesboro.
The Batesville Southside match will also be the conference opener for the Jackets.
Wynne will begin the season on Monday, Aug. 10, at Marion. Most of the Jackets’ matches will again be at Allen Park in Jonesboro – except for another non-conference match at West Memphis on Monday, Sept. 14.
