BLYTHEVILLE, Ark. — The Mississippi County Economic Development Corporation is partnering with Garver Engineering of Little Rock to lay out a new vision for the former Eaker Air Force Base in Blytheville.

Some of the ideas on the table include tourism and community projects that tie into the National Cold War Center, located at the former Air Force base.

Others are for better transportation for the area and to bring more local stakeholders into the planning process.

Officials expect the planning project to take about seven months.

Public meetings will be held to get input into the project.
