KALAMAZOO, Mich. — The Mid-American Conference has appealed the outcome of the Broncos’ game last Saturday at Michigan.
The conference is asking the NCAA FBS Oversight Committee and College Football Playoff administrators to recognize the Broncos as the “actual winner” of the game against the Wolverines last Saturday in Ann Arbor.
Michigan won 13-12 on a Hail Mary pass after a replay official had put one second back on the clock.
However, other replays showed the time had expired on the previous play and that Michigan should not have been allowed the extra second.
The Big Ten issued a statement saying the call was correct and that the league has its own clocks that showed a second did remain.
The NCAA and CFP have yet to respond to Western Michigan’s appeal.
