WYNNE — The 2026 football season will kick off with the Wynne Fumble Club’s preseason banquet next Thursday. The event will begin at 6 p.m. at the Bill Thomas Tech Center.

“When we started it three years ago, that’s kind of the way we planned it to be — try to do it before the scrimmage game so it gets them a little momentum started,” said Amanda Fuller of the Wynne Fumble Club.

The speaker will be Jason Curry. New head coach Randy Coleman will also speak, along with several senior players.

“We’ve had an outstanding time gathering up people to be sponsors this year. Honestly, it’s not been hard this year. I guess people are just excited,” Fuller said. “People have just been really responsive to us.”

Tickets are $30 and are available from Amanda Fuller at Always Home Caregiving, located next to the former Kelley’s restaurant, or from any Fumble Club member.

The Jackets will be involved in an Arkansas Activities Association jamboree at Osceola Tuesday, Aug. 18. The season opener is scheduled for Aug. 28 at Yellowjacket Stadium Aug. 28 against Marion.
