LITTLE ROCK — Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders has declared this week – Friday, June 12, through Sunday, June 14 – as the state’s free fishing weekend.
The proclamation from the governor declares that anyone may fish in Arkansas without a fishing license or trout stamp from noon tomorrow to midnight Sunday.
The annual tradition is sponsored by the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission.
All other regulations, including daily limits and length restrictions, remain in effect during the free fishing weekend. Special conditions for access remain restricted to fishermen who don’t meet those requirements.
