FORREST CITY — Fou play is not suspected in the weekend death of Forrest City attorney Jennifer Hicky Collins.

The Forrest City Police Department reports that first responders were called to Collins’ residence early Saturday after she was found unresponsive in a swimming pool.

Collins was removed from the pool by first responders, who then tried to revive her. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Collins was 49. She had served St. Francis County as a public defender for several years.

While foul play is not suspected, Collins’ body has been sent to the Arkansas State Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death.

The St. Francis County Courthouse is flying a black flag in honor of Collins.
