LITTLE ROCK — A former police officer who had claimed he was employed with the Cotton Plant Police Department in Woodruff County was among six officers re-certified by the Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Training yesterday.
DeQuante Body was arrested after police seized two guns and uniform items marked “police” from his car that indicated he was employed in law enforcement. Body claimed then that he was an employee of the Cotton Plant Police Department, but officials could not confirm that.
Prosecutors dropped a charge of impersonation against Body. He pleaded no contest to theft.
