CHERRY VALLEY — Cross County High School’s success on the track has paid off for senior Canon McGee. The school held a signing Thursday for McGee, who will join the track team at Williams Baptist University in Walnut Ridge.
“(McGee) has had a major role in the track-and-field program over the last few years,” said Cross County track coach Katon Hill. “He’s been a part of two district championship teams and one indoor state runner-up team. We are proud of you, Canon, and know that you will represent Cross County, the track program, your family, and yourself well at the collegiate level.”
McGee competed in the Class 2A state track meet last month in 110-meter hurdles, 300-meter hurdles, and the 4×100-meter relay.
