Cross County track sets two school records at Harding University Senior Invitational

Cross County’s track team set two new school records during yesterday’s Harding University Senior Invitational.

Cross County track coach Katon Hill said weather conditions were not ideal for the team’s first meet of the season, and the team has plenty of room and time to get where it needs to be.

In individual results, Eli Searcy placed fourth overall in the pole vault, setting a new school record of 9’6”.

Tristan Cash also set a new school record in 1-mile run with a time of 5:29.7.

Karis Maino finished eighth overall in the long jump and triple jump, and Danny Beale finished eighth overall in the discus.

Cross County will next participate in the Searcy Senior High Lions Relays on Thursday, March 7.
