Cross County students volunteer at Big Lake WMA cleanup

BLYTHEVILLE, Ark. — Cross County students Ian Williams and Landen Godush recently volunteered during a cleanup event at the Big Lake Wildlife Management Area in Blytheville.

The students earned both outdoor hours and volunteer hours as part of the cleanup, which was organized by the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission.

The Cross County School District said it is proud of its students for putting in work to care for the state’s natural spaces and making a difference beyond the classroom.
