CROSS COUNTY — The Cross County Hometown Health Coalition is putting the focus on men’s health and national safety during the month of June.
The coalition said that there are several awareness campaigns in June. Those include PTSD, Alzheimer’s, migraine and headache, sickle cell, and scleroderma. The coalition said individuals with those conditions can face difficulties accessing care during the early stages as the symptoms may be mild or related to other common illnesses.
The coalition encourages those who may be experiencing such conditions to advocate or be persistent in acquiring care earlier rather than later.
The coalition said that men, more than women, often do not access care until it is an emergency.
