Cross County assessor candidate among four in ethics findings

EASTERN ARKANSAS — A candidate for Cross County assessor is among four candidates or elected officials who have signed statements with the Arkansas Ethics Commission after complaints were filed against them.

Dina Milton, the current Cross County deputy assessor, agreed to an ethics finding that she did not timely file her annual campaign finance report for calendar year 2025. She received a public letter of caution from the commission.

Milton won the Republican primary in March and is unopposed in the general election.

Among the others are Crittenden County Assessor Kim Hollowell, a Quitman School Board member and a candidate for Saline County sheriff.

Hollowell agreed to an ethics finding that she used subscription-based mapping software paid for by Crittenden County for campaign purposes. The finding also states that she used time during normal office hours to take a photo of the software while in the assessor’s office for use in social media posts for her husband’s campaign.

In a letter to the Arkansas Ethics Commission, Hollowell said the photo was not intended to promote the campaign, but was posted to show the district lines for her husband’s justice of the peace campaign.

Hollowell is the incumbent and won the primary in March. She is unopposed in November.
