Crittenden County couple pleads guilty to conspiracy in sex trafficking case

CRITTENDEN COUNTY, Arkansas — A Crittenden County couple has pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit sex trafficking of a minor.

36-year-old Rickey Lee Gaines and 30-year-old Victoria McClure, both of West Memphis, were indicted by a federal grand jury in October 2021 on one count each of conspiracy to commit sex trafficking and two counts each of sex trafficking. Two others were also indicted. They are 68-year-old Randle Blair of Earle and 53-year-old Bryan Donaldson of Proctor.

The case began unfolding when West Memphis police found a 17-year-old girl in the Walmart parking lot in West Memphis, seeking help. Her story led to the arrest of the four. All four face possible prison terms ranging from 10 years to life in prison.

Sentencing for Gaines and McClure will be held later.
