WYNNE — Construction will be a topic of discussion during several meetings this week.
The Wynne School Board, Cross County School Board, Wynne Water Utilities Board of Commissioners, CrossRidge Community Hospital Governing Board and the Cross County Chamber board all have meetings scheduled for this week.
Ongoing construction projects will be a topic during at least three of those meetings.
The Cross County School Board will receive updates on the addition to Cross County Elementary and repairs to the roof of the gym at the high school. Consideration of LP bids and a new bus lease are also on the agenda. The Cross County School Board meets at 6 p.m. tonight at the administration building on the Cross County campus.
The Wynne School Board will also likely receive an update on the construction of Wynne High School during its meeting. The board will meet at 6 p.m. tonight at the administration building on Bridges Avenue. Construction of the new high school is on schedule for the 2027-28 school year.
Wynne High School was destroyed by the tornado in March 2023, as was the Wynne wastewater treatment plant. Two of the three structures at the wastewater facility are now complete. The Wynne Water board will meet at 5 p.m. Tuesday at the water office on Falls Boulevard.
The CrossRidge board will meet at noon Wednesday at the hospital, while the Chamber board meets at noon Thursday at the Bill Thomas Tech Center.
