BATESVILLE, Ark. — David Campbell has been named the permanent superintendent of the Batesville School District.
Campbell was named interim superintendent in February following the suspension of Ginni McDonald. McDonald was later fired by the school board and is currently involved in litigation with the district.
Campbell has worked in the Batesville School District for 26 years and previously served as assistant superintendent of operations before taking over as superintendent. The school board made his position permanent this week.
Rachel Horn was also named assistant superintendent, and Kyle Downs was named director of operations. Both Horn and Downs previously held other positions with the district.
