WYNNE — One of the SPARC classes at Wynne Intermediate School is an aviation class taught by Sharon Archield.
The district said that through the class, students have learned about the history and technology of aviation. They have learned everything from the Wright brothers to designing an airplane from scratch.
The district said there are plans to introduce aviation to even the youngest learners alongside the Discovering Flight program from the National Aviation Hall of Fame.
Aviation is one of dozens of clubs for students offered through SPARC, which stands for Students Participating in Activities Really Counts.
