LITTLE ROCK — The Arkansas Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library will reach a milestone in August.

The program, which began in May 2025, will send its seven-millionth book to children in Arkansas.

The program receives support from the Arkansas General Assembly, the Dollywood Foundation and other donors statewide to help send a free book each month to children from birth to age five. There are more than 55 local program partners in Arkansas, including one serving Cross County.

More than 400 children are enrolled in the program in Cross County. Families can register their children for the program online.

The Imagination Library also has a “Books From Birth” initiative in partnership with the Baptist Health Foundation. All newborns delivered at Baptist Health locations in the Little Rock area and Fort Smith are automatically enrolled in the program.
